These manuscripts are thin, small, and fragile. Us

These manuscripts are thin, small, and fragile. Using gloves was impeding the safe handling of these manuscripts during their dry cleaning procedure. Consequently, we discussed the options of using an appropriate length of polyester sheet or flat rectangular glass weight, etc. to hold them with fingers without leaving fingerprints.
Sareena came up with the idea of using a bone folder to avoid touching the manuscript directly for longer, while dry cleaning.
The size of the bone folder was appropriate to hold the full length of the paper without interfering in the fragile and uneven edges of the sheets.

The second practical activity for the course parti

The second practical activity for the course participants at HPA academy.
A flat, small sized artwork on textile was endangered due to heavy fungal infestation on its back of the frame. Fungal colonies were in direct contact with the artwork.
The conservation students at HPA worked on it from step one until the final conservation grade mounting. They worked under continuous supervision and guidance of HPA team.
