The walls of Sri Harmandar Saheb Ji are embellished with beautiful paintings and stucco work. All the art work has been conserved by the team of Heritage Preservation Atelier in the year 2014 after a thorough study and assessment in the later half of 2013. This is the first time in the history of Sri Harmandar Saheb Ji that such important work has been carried out by expert professionals in a scientific manner. Earlier attempts of temporary repairs were more damaging than curative.
